 A little bit of this and that!

Ok so today I took a trip to Michaels and Staples to see what I can find.  I knew that I needed a new  needle for my Cricut, and more cardstock.  Of course I ended up getting other things I need for my projects before September.

I grabbed black cardstock, hoping that I could use less ink for my flipped circle signs.  The smaller package of cardstock seem perfect.  I will find a use for them as well.

I just love this stuff!  I can put fadeless or fabric up in a jiffy!

Easy Secenery Helper

Here is my lovely circle cutter.  I cant wait to use it, I can give my cricute blade a rest.  Yeah the blade that I didn't purchase today by the way!

Much needed supply.

Ok so my projects has begun as of now.  I will have something to show to you all by Made it Monday! Toodles

 Making my first mark as a blogger!

Good evening;

This is my first blog! (Yipppppee) I'm so excited.  I love teaching and using the Internet, so I don't know why I haven't done this before.  I became interested during my hunts for ideas over the years, and so I finally decided to get my feet wet.  I owe a lot to Kristen from Ladybugsteachingfiles, she is amazing.  Thank you Kristen and so many others!

So my first blog of course will be about my back to school findings.  I teach 5th grade in NYC, so I am pacing myself wisely this summer; however I cant stop my teaching brain train from rolling.  I went to Target today and found some great things in the $1.00 section.  My color scheme this year is Neon - blue, purple, green, and pink.  My labels flipped back circles with white writing- courtesy of Kristen.

In the photo there are those lovely pocket charts that I WILL use this year (2), paper, duct tape, small bins that I will use for my smaller manipluatives maybe, and a cute Star Student seat cover.  I will hang it.  I have fifth graders!  I found great things minus McKenzie my daughter teddy bear.

There are some great sandwich bags that are going to come in handy on one of my sweet treat days.

OK, I sort of buy a lot just in case.  My students are FORVER losing their belonging as you are mostly likely familiar with as well.  So, some lucky boy or girl will receive one of the two. (Upside down- pardon me)

I purchased these bins from Target too, but not recently.  I pulled them out from my daughter's birthday party decorations.  They were used to contain the utensils for her 3rd birthday party - the theme was Happy Feet 2.  I am going to repurpose them for new pencil holders.  I bought some cool purple duct tape today to cover them.

My Lovely BFF in MD, found these for me at her local Dollar Tree.  I am not fortunate to have such a great discount store so close to me.  I do have DEAL$, Family Dollar, and others, so hopefully I find something there this weekend.
